Derry è fotografa professionista dal 1985, e ci è arrivata di lato. Lavorava in un negozio di fotografia, il suo capo era impegnato in due matrimoni e le affidò quello.

Nel 2024 ha lasciato ventitré anni di carriera nella scuola per insegnare fotografia a tempo pieno. Insegna ai principianti in gruppi di sei al massimo, di persona sulla penisola e uno a uno in video ovunque altrove, e dirige la scuola insieme a Caro.

La prima cosa che ho imparato, prima di qualsiasi tecnica, è stata vedere e capire come la luce può fare o rovinare una fotografia.

Cos'è Last Light?

Chiunque abbia compiuto 18 anni, in qualsiasi parte del mondo. Non è necessario essere un professionista né aver partecipato a concorsi precedenti.

Come viene valutato?

Blind, by one judge. Derry Caulfield sees the photograph, its title, and the one line about where and when. She does not see your name, your email address or your follower count. She does read that line, so a country written into it is a country she sees. The light counts double; then the moment; then the technique. Her decision is final.

Ho bisogno di un cablaggio Camstrap o di una telecamera specifica?

Three. Choose them carefully: once a photograph is submitted it cannot be changed or taken back, so enter when you are happy with it.

Quando è stato consentito scattare la fotografia?

Il copyright rimane a me?

Sempre. Concedi a Camstrap il permesso di mostrare la tua partecipazione nella galleria e, quando verranno annunciati i risultati, di attribuirti il merito. Se ti classifichi tra i primi dodici, tale autorizzazione si estende alle attività di marketing di Camstrap per due anni. Nient'altro.

L'intelligenza artificiale è consentita?

No. Non generato, non esteso, non riempito. Lo sviluppo normale, esposizione, contrasto, colore, polvere, raddrizzamento, ritaglio, va bene ed è quello che fanno tutti.

Can I change my mind?

An entry cannot be edited once it is in. If you want one taken down, write to benjamin@cam-strap.com from the address you entered with and we will remove it, before or after the closing date.
